Navigate Your Separation
with Clarity and Care

With 25 years of experience, Mtre Nathalie McKenzie offers government-covered mediation to reduce conflict, create space for resolution, and help you move forward.

Start The Process

If you’re separating, divorcing, or working through co-parenting arrangements, mediation can help you find a respectful way forward. Mtre McKenzie offers a calm, impartial space to create meaningful agreements that work for everyone involved.

Your first 5 hours of mediation are fully covered by the Quebec government (5 hours if you have children, 3 hours if you don’t).

Is Mediation Right for You?

Mediation helps if you want to:

  • Resolve issues collaboratively and avoid court
  • Save time, money, and emotional stress
  • Work with a neutral third party who understands the process and your needs

Mediation is only possible if both parties agree to participate in the process.

Did you know that the Quebec government covers 5 hours of mediation services by an accredited mediator, for both legally married and common-law spouses?

You will need to bring your Notice of Assessment from the prior tax year to our first meeting. From there, we will establish the issues that need to be resolved and determine what documents you must provide to draft the divorce proceedings.

No. Mediation services are different from divorce proceedings or summary of agreements (for common-law spouses). Mediation sessions are designed to help parties reach an agreement, which will determine the terms of the divorce proceedings. The fees for drafting a divorce agreement or summary of agreement will vary. Mtre McKenzie does offer flat rates that can vary depending on the complexity.

Yes, booking a mediation session at a distance is possible, but ONLY if both parties have signed the mediation form beforehand.

Your first meeting is organized into 3 stages:

  1. OVERVIEW and Q&A
We start with an information session that provides an overview of the process and allows participants to ask any questions they may have.
  2. INFORMATION GATHERING
I will collect all the relevant information from each party regarding their specific situation.
  3. PLANNING
Based on the information provided, we will establish an agenda of all issues that must be addressed to facilitate an effective and productive mediation process.
